This is a site built by a buddy of mine (StudioRhoad.com) to document the progress of my project 620 build that I’m doing. I hope I have the patience to continue adding and updating as I move further along with the project. I will also be blogging about general stuff in my life as I experience them. About

This is a site built by a buddy of mine (StudioRhoad.com) to document the progress of my project 620 build that I’m doing. I hope I have the patience to continue adding and updating as I move further along with the project. I will also be blogging about general stuff in my life as I experience them.

A little background about me:

I’m originally from Pace, FL. It’s a little town outside of Pensacola, FL. I graduated high school in 1990, at which point I owned a 1979 Datsun 620 truck that was lowered with 15×8’s all the way around with a 0mm offset. This is the vehicle that started me on all this venture to build a 620 race/drift truck. I went into the Air Force and did 4 years traveling around to the Middle East and different parts of the country for training as Law Enforcement and Security. During this time I was into sports cars and four wheel drive trucks. I had a couple of trucks that I had taken out into the woods and played around in by sliding them sideways and trying to hold it through the turns (later to be called “Drifting”). I got out in 1995 and started College (which I would never finish) while doing little jobs from Target, Gas Stations, Flora-Bama Bar, to finally landing a good paying job with a Naval Contractor involved with the BRAC move. After being laid-off from there 6 months later I moved to St. Johns USVI. My girlfriend at the time broke us of all our funds by refusing to get a solid job and we had to come back. I got a job with the local Cable Company in Milton, FL and picked it up fairly easy. I then started with BellSouth in Atlanta, GA. While working at BellSouth in 1999 I purchased my first Sports car, a 1994 Twin Turbo Toyota Supra. That was where all the mayhem started. I had always like Sports cars but had never had one. I continued my employment with BellSouth for almost 4 years and left at the end of 2002 where I sold the Supra and started my employment with my cousins in-laws company, Document Technologies Inc. After wasting 3 years of my life “hoping” for the reverse-nepotism to stop and hoping that the rest of the Family that worked for the company could actually make a decent paycheck, I left to venture off into self employment as a contractor of technology. While I was employed with DTI (previous employer) myself along with 5 other persons started a company called South East Drift Association (SEDA) for the upcoming sport of Drifting. I also became very good friends with my roommate Chris Rhoad. With all the great work he was doing for SEDA on a pro-bono status we decided to bring him on full-time. As I bounced around on a few contract jobs in my professional life, I took over the Presidency of SEDA along with making Chris the Vice President. 6 months into our term we got tired of other people with in the company taking credit for our hard work and claiming to have a say in things that they weren’t involved in. So we left SEDA and took up two positions with Drift411.com as event organizers, safety stewards and insurance providers. During this time I had started working at Andretti’s Indoor Karting and Games as the Track Manager.

I then moved back to FL for a change of scenery in Aug 2006. I spent 14 months trying to find a good job but always came up WAYYY short. I ended up getting a call from my buddy in Atlanta telling me that BellSouth was hiring again, so I got re-hired and moved back to Atlanta where I moved to Alpharetta and moved into a house that my parents bought that I’m trying to purchase from them.

I currently still work at at&t, previously BellSouth, live in Alpharetta and love cars. I have a really great girlfriend named Kathy. She is By Far the coolest chick I’ve ever gone out with! Mostly because she puts up with my shit. :) 7/7/08
